NSW Food Authority issues caution against consumption of "cosmetic" milk
According to a media release on the New South Wales Food Authority website, the Iemma Government has issued a warning for consumers not to drink raw or unpasteurised milk marketed as pet food or for “cosmetic” use as it is a potential health hazard. Primary Industries Minister Ian Macdonald was cited as saying that the NSW Food Authority had received complaints from the public that rogue retailers are selling deceptively labelled unpasteurised milk as a product fit for human consumption.
“To put it simply, any dairy products labelled as ‘pet food’ or ‘for cosmetic use’, have not been through the Food Authority’s stringent food safety management programs and I would urge consumers not to buy them,” Minister Macdonald was quoted as saying.
The Iemma Government through the NSW Food Authority is currently investigating reports of several retailers illegally selling raw milk for human consumption. The sale of these types of raw dairy products for human consumption is illegal in Australia. The Food Act provides penalties of up to $275,000 for the sale of unpasteurised milk. A similar warning was issued in September by Dairy Food Safety Victoria when it found some retailers in that State were engaging in the same practice.

The poisons from the chemicals added to food that is served to people is criminal and so much worse than raw milk. Look at the hormonal changes in young children, in men--growing breasts, the increase in diseases, the increase in mental issues, the list is long and so very sad. I would drink the raw milk from a trusted dairy long before I'd trust the US govt or the drug/chemical companies for the safety of my food. The contaminated spinach last year..I had no fears as I ate my own home grown spinach and I use natural manure from horses and cows and I have never been sick. I've drank raw milk off and on my whole life and not been sick from it.
I have been sick from store bought pasturized milk. There have been numerous recalls on pasturized milk and cheese. Your lack of credibility is showing loudly. Your "summary" of outbreaks is very misleading. For example; the raw milk that was recalled from organic pastures, was only implicated in the govts mind. They even paid OP forfalsely accusing and harming his sells. They could not trace the E-Coli to OP, so you just continue to feed the ooga booga propaganda of the fear mongers. You should be ashamed of yourself.
