Norovirus probable at Swedish pizza joint; almost 600 sick

Pizzeria Alcamo in Jönköping – which is apparently in southern Sweden – was closed Thursday and by today, 593 people said they were sick after a visit or a slice.

It is not yet known whether patrons fell ill as a result of food poisoning or a fast-spreading outbreak of the winter vomiting virus.

The council's health and safety office has carried out tests on kebab meat, iceberg lettuce and kebab sauce in a bid to isolate the source of the outbreak.

Jönköping is, in fact, in southern Sweden. The most odd and amusing part of this post is the 'apparently.' They're telling the truth!

I must EXTREMELY DISAGREE with Jessica here since im from Skåne(southern Sweden) and live in Jönköping...
Jönköping is NOT in southern Sweden - as said, skåne is known as southern sweden. Bordering Skåne is Kronobergs län (län is somewhat like "state") , Blekinge län & hallands län...THEN further upp comes Jönköpings Län which is considered more "upper/mid" sweden...Look it up..

I also go sick from Alcamo and i was sick for 10 days!..It was a new form of the stumach flu which 2 of the workers had but were immune to and had not known they were giving it to people. Sad but feels good to be able to stay away from fast food awhile... haha.
