For a summer gig I'm working at a local dairy. There is rarely any soap for cleaning of hands, and while working that's ok - because feces is ubiquitous, but when I want to eat lunch or get in my car and drive home that's a problem. So I bought some anti-bacterial ointment for the first time ever. I'm of the mindset that as a society we use way too much of it and will potentially lead to super bacteria that our present set of antibiotics won't be able to treat. I even saw Clorox wipes advertised as anti-viral - B.S. And I think to some extent too little exposure to bacteria is a bad thing, but now that I work with cows, I'm willing to use it. It's a good idea for county fair, because my experience tells me dairy cows are covered in feces from from head to hoof and udder, too.
