    The industry is taking appropriate steps to help ensure that U.S. beef is safe from E. coli contamination, according to a recent audit by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Office of the Inspector General (OIG).     SAN ANTONIO -- One of the hottest foods in San Antonio is put to the test. KSAT's Defenders sampled salsa at Casarita on Thousand Oaks, Las Palapas on Callaghan, Alamo Cafe's I-10 location, Don Pedro on Southwest Military and at Taco Cabana on Broadway.     This is proactively awesome. After decades of farm-show-petting-zoo-fair related outbreaks, particularly of E. coli O157, and after four people were sickened last year, this weekend’s Drymen Show has been cancelled because organizers did not take appropriate steps to reduce risk of E. coli infection.Additional Information
