    Restaurant violations are nothing new. The shocking bits of this story is that there are 100 sushi restaurants in the Tampa area alone; and that sushi is considered “healthy and nutritious.”Additional Information

    The state Department of Health levied the following fines for violations at establishments in Jefferson and Lewis counties: Jefferson ■ Teriyaki Experience, Watertown, paid $1,150 in fines, including a $250 fine because at the time of inspection, the facility was operating without a valid permit to operate.Additional Information

    EDMONTON - A west-end Edmonton restaurant was fined Wednesday $18,170 for repeated health violations and dirty conditions over the past four years. Allan Lam and Yuk Ping Chan, the owners of Chef’s Grill & Bar at 170th Street and 113th Avenue, pleaded guilty to seven charges under the Public Health Act.Additional Information

    None of Sarnia-Lambton’s 750 restaurants and food outlets have been shut down by health officials since Lambton County launched its DineSafe food safety inspection system.
